Privacy Policy

How Dax Pro handles data, cookies, and third-party services. No telemetry, no tracking, no analytics — pure static site, zero data collection by default.

Our Privacy Commitment

Dax Pro is a static site generator theme. It ships as pure HTML, CSS, and a single vanilla JavaScript file. It does not include any analytics, tracking pixels, telemetry, or third-party scripts by default.

When you deploy a site built with Dax Pro, the only data that leaves the visitor's browser is what you explicitly configure — nothing more.

Data We Do Not Collect

Dax Pro does not:

  • Collect personal information from site visitors
  • Set tracking cookies
  • Use analytics services (Google Analytics, Plausible, Umami, or otherwise)
  • Load third-party fonts or scripts from external CDNs
  • Track IP addresses or user agents
  • Store anything in localStorage or sessionStorage
  • Include any telemetry that phones home

    • The base theme is zero-data by design. Every script that runs is visible in the source: one main.js file for mobile navigation and form handling.

    Data You May Collect (Optional)

    If you configure Decap CMS, Formspree, or any other service on top of Dax Pro, those services may collect data according to their own privacy policies. Examples:

  • Decap CMS — collects editor authentication data via your Git provider (GitHub, GitLab, Netlify Identity)
  • Formspree — collects form submission data when a visitor submits a contact form
  • Netlify Identity — collects login credentials for Decap CMS editors

    • Dax Pro does not control how these services handle data. You are responsible for linking to their privacy policies in your own site's privacy page.

    Cookies

    Dax Pro sets no cookies by default. If you enable Decap CMS or Formspree, those services may set their own cookies — governed by their own policies.

    Editor Data (Decap CMS)

    If you use Decap CMS, the following data is stored:

  • In your Git repository — your content (markdown, images, config)
  • In your Git provider — commit history, author names, and email addresses
  • In Netlify Identity (optional) — editor login credentials

This data stays under your control — it lives in your own repository and your own provider accounts. Dax Pro has no access to it.

Form Submissions

If you configure a contact form with Formspree, form submissions are sent to Formspree's servers. Formspree's privacy policy applies. Dax Pro does not store form submissions.

If you self-host a form handler, you are the data controller for those submissions.

Your Rights

Because Dax Pro does not collect data, there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have configured a third-party service (Decap CMS, Formspree, Netlify Identity), contact that service directly to exercise your GDPR, CCPA, or other privacy rights.
